Start a Product Drive - United Way Alberta Capital Region

Product Drives

Start a Product Drive hero image

Sometimes, you just want to give a tangible item.

A Product Collection Drive is a great way to rally your friends, family, or coworkers around a cause you all care about. By participating in a product drive, you will make a tangible difference in the lives of vulnerable children, families, and individuals in our community.

There are opportunities to run product drives for a particular initiative, or donate individual items that will make an immediate and powerful difference to our vulnerable neighbours.

Products collected are distributed through our InKind Exchange to front-line agencies and programs, getting the goods to where they are needed most.

Host a product drive

A product drive is an excellent way to support United Way and the local agencies we work with, while also connecting with coworkers, customers, and your community. There are a variety of collection drives that will help United Way meet the needs of our program initiatives.

Tools for School

June – August
Tools for School ensures all kids have the tools they need to succeed. By hosting a product drive, you’ll reduce one known barrier preventing children and youth from successful learning and participation in school.

Coats for Kids and Families

October – February
Coats for Kids and Families provides clean, gently used coats and warm winter clothing for vulnerable children and families. By hosting a coat drive, you’ll help local families stay warm during our region’s harsh winters.

Period Promise

Year-Round
Period Promise is a multi-faceted approach to address period poverty in our communities. By hosting a period product drive, you will be proving dignity and comfort to people who would otherwise struggle to afford menstrual products.

Register your product drive

Immediately after registering your product drive, you will receive a digital tool kit with website links, downloadable posters, high needs items, and instructions on what to do when your drive is complete. If required, requests for physical posters or collection boxes can be directed to [email protected].
